Join us once a month on a Saturday afternoon for art, conversation, and a closer look at what’s happening in New York’s galleries right now.
Each gathering begins with a drink at a nearby bar or café, giving everyone time to arrive, meet, and settle in before we head out together.
From there, we’ll explore some of Chelsea’s most exciting exhibitions and art spaces. We’ll look closely, ask questions, laugh, get pleasantly confused, and talk about the ideas, stories, politics, materials, and cultural forces behind the work. Along the way, we’ll get to know the artists themselves—their backgrounds, influences, creative processes, and the paths that shaped their work.
No previous art knowledge is needed—just curiosity. Come to discover new artists, exchange ideas, meet interesting people, and experience New York through a different lens.
The series includes four monthly Saturday afternoon gatherings in Chelsea. With exhibitions changing constantly, each visit will introduce a completely new selection of artists and ideas. Over the course of the series, we’ll also begin to notice recurring themes, shifts in taste, and the larger conversations shaping contemporary art right now.
Who’s Guiding you:
Tom Koren is a New York–based curator, creative director, and DJ working across contemporary art, music, and interdisciplinary cultural programming. She holds an MA in Curatorial Practice from the School of Visual Arts and came to New York as a Fulbright Fellow in Public Humanities.
Most recently, she served as Curatorial Associate to Udo Kittelmann on What a Wonderful World: An Audiovisual Poem, presented by the Julia Stoschek Foundation in Los Angeles. Before moving into the visual arts, she worked in Tel Aviv’s independent music and cultural scene with Teder.FM and as a music writer for Haaretz.
Koren leads gallery tours in Chelsea and SoHo, bringing an accessible, informed, and critical perspective to New York’s evolving art scene.
